Swan NRM Committee meeting update
The Swan NRM Committee recently held their meeting at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. The Committee reviewed their past achievements and held a workshop for how the group will function in the future. The Committee will be more proactive in discussing and communicating the challenges and potential solutions facing regional natural resource management.
The Committee will be meeting three times a year from December 2017. Over the next year, the Committee will be publishing a series of Discussion Papers on shared NRM challenges to facilitate collective discussion and idea generation. Following each paper there will be a workshop whereby technical knowledge holders, experts, and leading thinkers will come together to discuss NRM challenges in the region. The first paper to be released will be on a potential regional ecological linkages project.
